Women’s Health & Hormonal Balance

Hormones influence far more than your cycle. They shape mood, sleep, energy, skin, digestion, and how resilient you feel under pressure. When that internal rhythm shifts, it can be unsettling, not just physically, but emotionally too.

In clinic, I support women across every stage of reproductive life; from the early years when periods are finding their rhythm, through to fertility support, perimenopause and menopause. Whatever brings you here, you deserve to be taken seriously and supported with care.

Recognising the signs

When things feel “off”

You might recognise some of these patterns:

01

Cycles that are painful, heavy, unpredictable, or missing

02

PMS that affects mood, sleep, appetite, or daily functioning

03

Pelvic pain, endometriosis symptoms, or flare-ups that drain your energy

04

PCOS-related concerns such as irregular ovulation, acne, hair changes, or metabolic symptoms

05

Fertility support (trying to conceive naturally or alongside IVF/FET)

06

Perimenopause or menopause symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, sleep disruption, anxiety, or brain fog

07

Headaches, digestive symptoms, or stress patterns that seem to worsen around your cycle

The approach

How acupuncture may support you

Acupuncture is a supportive, whole-person therapy. Many patients use it to help the body settle into a steadier pattern, especially when symptoms are being driven by stress physiology, inflammation, pain pathways, or cycle-related hormone shifts.

Research suggests acupuncture may influence nervous system regulation and pain processing, support circulation, and help with symptoms such as period pain and some menopause-related symptoms in certain people.

“I’ll always be honest about what we know, what we don’t, and what’s realistic for your situation.”

What to expect

What to expect when you work with me

We’ll start by building a clear picture of what’s going on for you, including your cycle history, symptoms, sleep, stress, digestion, and any medical investigations you’ve had. Treatments are tailored, and plans are adjusted as your body responds.

For hormonal and cycle-related work, many people choose to commit to a short course so we can see change across a few cycles. If you’re working alongside medical care (for example, fertility treatment), we can coordinate your timing around that plan.

A quick note on safety

If your symptoms are new, severe, getting worse, or you have red-flag signs (for example: very heavy bleeding, bleeding between periods, bleeding after sex, severe pelvic pain, fainting, unexplained weight loss, or concerns about pregnancy), it’s important to seek medical assessment promptly.

Acupuncture does not replace medical care, but it can sit alongside it as part of a broader support plan.

How to book

Two ways to begin

Not sure which area fits? Book a general women’s health appointment and we’ll decide together what to focus on.

Have a diagnosis or clear goal? For example, cycle regulation or fertility support, you can book directly into that service.

Results vary between individuals, and I will always aim to offer clear guidance, realistic expectations, and supportive care that feels grounded and personal.
